NOVA SCOTIA ALMOST TRIPLES NATIONAL AVERAGE IN ILLEGAL OPIATE USERS

 

These statistics were found in a power point presentation I discovered on opiate abuse and methadone treatment in 2006 in Nova Scotia Canada. The people who contributed to this power point presentation were :

  • These are the percentages of each provinces population ages 15-49 years old. who are illegal opiate users (2003)

Ontario – 0.47%

Alberta – 0.57%

British Columbia – 0.16%

Manitoba – 0.34%

New Brunswick – 0.39%        

Nova Scotia –  1.37%

Newfoundland – 0.51%

P.E.I. – 0.51%

Quebec – 0.26%

Saskatchewan – 0.40%

NWT/YUK – 0.51%

Canada – 0.51 %

 

  • Nova Scotia is almost TRIPLE the national average ! These stats are also from 2003 so imagine how fast this problem has grown and STILL NO HELP and STILL NO CHANGES.
